The good times keep rolling for the Mumbai batter, Sarfaraz Khan who had a brilliant debut in whites for India in the recently concluded Test series against England. This time his family received a gift from none other than Anand Mahindra.
Earlier after making his debut, the chairperson of Mahindra and Mahindra had posted on his official handle on X, congratulating Sarfaraz’s father, Naushad Khan for inspiring his son to go on and receive his maiden Test cap.

Mr Mahindra kept his word as Sarfaraz had posted stories on his official handle on Instagram where the Khan family received the Mahindra Thar.
After a long and arduous journey to his debut, the Mumbai batter made it count as he scored twin fifties in the third Test at Rajkot. The Indian team went on to win the Test by 434 runs and took the lead in the series as well. He also equalled the record for the fastest Test fifty on debut, scoring it in just 48 deliveries. However, his innings was cut short as he was run out after a mix-up with his batting partner Ravindra Jadeja.

The 26-year-old’s performance did not stop there. He also scored another half-century in the first innings of the fifth Test at Dharamsala as the hosts went on to beat England and take the series 4-1.

Ahead of the IPL 2024, he is likely to not feature as he has not been picked up by any of the franchises since the recent auctions. He will be hoping that a slot opens up as he looks at making his mark in the biggest franchise cricketing tournament as well.

He already has some experience playing in the IPL. He made his debut playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore at just 17 years old. His notable knock came against the Rajasthan Royals where he scored 45 runs off. He was then picked up by the Kings XI Punjab (now known as Punjab Kings) and most recently, the Delhi Capitals in 2022.
