T20 World Cup: IShowSpeed Disappointed After Virat Kohli's Dismissal Against Pakistan | VIDEO

Famous American YouTuber and rapper Darren Jason Watkins Jr. also known online as IShowSpeed, or simply Speed, turned up at Nassau County in New York to watch the electrifying fixture between India and Pakistan. The T20 World Cup 2024 fixture, between the two arch-rivals, was a memorable affair with Team India clinching a thrilling six-run victory. Batting first, India managed to post a paltry total of 119 in 19 overs. Virat Kohli was the first to be dismissed in the game scoring four runs off three balls.

Virat Kohli tried to reach for Naseem Shah’s wide delivery in the second over but the talismanic India batter failed to clear the cover region as Usman Khan took a simple catch. Kohli’s dismissal was disappointing for Indian fans and IShowSpeed, who was spotted in a Team India jersey. In a video shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the American YouTuber can be seen heartbroken following Kohli’s dismissal.

IShowSpeed’s love for Virat Kohli is known to all. The YouTuber had even arrived in India to showcase his support and admiration for Kohli and his teammates during the ODI World Cup 2023. The YouTuber was even seen playing cricket with others. In a now-viral video, Speed can be seen wearing the India jersey with ‘Virat’ written on its back. Below the t-shirt, Speed decided to wear a lungi.

Earlier, IShowSpeed had made a bold statement on Babar Azam’s post by adjudging Virat Kohli as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT). The incident took place after Babar shared an Instagram photo of himself dressed in a suit. Speed had reacted to the post by commenting, “Virat obolo tos the GOAT,” that roughly translates to “Virat Kohli is the GOAT.”

Despite, Virat Kohli and other Indian batters’ failure, the Rohit Sharma-led side succeeded in getting the better of Pakistan by six runs on Sunday. Chasing a target of 120, the Babar Azam and men managed to reach 113 at the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Ace Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was adjudged Player of the Match for his sensational figures of 3/14 in four overs.
