Team India Touch Down in Barbados Ahead of T20 World Cup 2024 Final Against South Africa - WATCH

The Indian team have landed in Barbados ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 finals where they take on South Africa on Saturday.

The Rohit Sharma-led side made their way into the final after beating the defending champions England by 68 runs to seal their spot in yet another final. The Men in Blue and the Proteas side are the two teams that have been unbeaten throughout the tournament and the final will decide who gets the highly coveted title.

In a video uploaded by the Asian News International (ANI) on their official handle on X, several members of the Indian team like Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel among others are seen making their exit from the airport to their team bus.

Along with the team members, the BCCI President, Mr Roger Binny was also spotted in the clip making his exit from the airport as well.

The Indian team have yet another opportunity to grab silverware but South Africa will also be gunning for the win as they aim to secure their first-ever World Cup trophy.

Both sides have had a history of choking in the big games but this time, it could be a historic moment as one of the teams will finish the tournament with an undefeated record which is a first in T20 World Cups.

The Indian captain, Rohit Sharma has been in blistering form recently as he has stepped up when the side needs it the most with some blistering knocks against Australia and England. He will be expected to continue his momentum with the bat in the finale as well.

His opening partner, on the other hand, Virat Kohli has been far from his very best. The Indian icon who has historically performed in the T20 showpiece event, failed to live up to his expectations with the bat. However, the Indian skipper and the Head Coach all have backed his intent and feel that he might be brewing with a big score for the final.

The T20 World Cup final is set to take place at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 29 with the game set to take place at 8 PM (IST).
