Watch: Furious Virat Kohli Kicks the Ground, Yells at RCB Teammates as SRH Unleash Mayhem
It was a day Virat Kohli will want to forget quickly as Royal Challengers Bengaluru succumbed to their sixth defeat of IPL 2024.

Virat Kohli cut a sorry figure during the boundary-laden clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. He looked frustrated, disappointed, angry, helpless as SRH batters treated RCB bowlers like a hot knife through butter.

On a pitch that was a batting paradise, SRH broke their own record of the highest team total in IPL history that they set about three weeks ago against Mumbai Indians. In a scarcely believable assault, Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram, Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad propelled SRH to a gigantic 287/3 in 20 overs.

Amidst the carnage, Kohli was captured by the cameras looking increasingly annoyed at how SRH were dealing with RCB bowlers. He kicked the turf, yelled at his teammates while expressing his frustrations at how easily boundaries were being conceded.

Later on, Kohli was left furious with himself after being clean bowled by Mayank Markande on 42. The RCB opener had given his team a superb start in the chase of 288 with six fours and two sixes but the SRH leggie outfoxed him with a googly.

RCB though gave a spirited fight to SRH even though they succumbed to their sixth defeat of the IPL 2024.

After losing half their side for 122, the home team was kept in the fight by Dinesh Karthik who peppered the M Chinnaswamy Stadium boundary with powerful hits as he blasted 35-ball 83 but RCB finished at 262/7 in 20 overs. SRH have picked up their fourth win of the season and are currently fourth on the points table.

RCB made a couple of big changes to their playing XI, benching the likes of Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj but it didn’t yield the desired result. RCB will have five days to process the carnage before returning to action against Kolkata Knight Riders this Sunday.
