It has been a terrific start to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season for Rajasthan Royals. Under the leadership of Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals have won six of their first seven games of the season. The IPL 2008 champions currently claim the top spot in the league standings. Samson himself has been in fine form in the competition scoring 276 runs from seven games at an average of 55.2. His strike rate in IPL 2024 has also been an impressive 155.05. Samson has till now scored three half centuries in IPL 2024. Now, in a video shared by Rajasthan Royals on social media, Samson can be seen taking pictures with ground staff. Before leaving, Samson did not forget to shake hands with the ground staff.
The video of Sanju Samson’s kindhearted gesture was shared by Rajasthan Royals on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). “Skipper,” read the caption of the post.

This is not the first time that Sanju Samson did something similar. Back in November 2022, Samson was spotted assisting the ground staff with the covers at Seddon Park in Hamilton, New Zealand.

Coming back to IPL 2024, Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals clinched a thrilling win in their last fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders. Chasing a mammoth target of 224, Rajasthan Royals secured a memorable win on the final ball of the contest.
Jos Buttler was Rajasthan Royals’ star performer during the run chase. The Englishman had scored a superb century to guide his side to an epic triumph against Kolkata Knight Riders. Following the game, Samson labeled it a ‘funny encounter.’
“We all were tensed during the run-chase. Games against Punjab in the last 3-4 years, each and every game is a very close, very funny feeling. They were bowling really well, it was a funny game,” Sanju Samson had said at the post-match presentation.
“Last game, we did some really great things and we ended up on the losing side. Today, we made a bit more mistakes and we ended up winning the game. It’s a very funny game, so we’d like to keep our heads down and just do the process,” he added.
Rajasthan Royals will return to action Monday to host the five-time champions Mumbai Indians. The Hardik Pandya-led side are placed at the seventh spot on the IPL 2024 points table.
