As the T20 World Cup 2024 moves towards the next stage, the Super 8s, two legends of the game were seen shaking a leg during one of the games that took place in New York. The pair of Sunil Gavaskar and Wasim Akram are part of the expert panel for the tournament and were seen grooving to a popular Bollywood number.
The two were seen dancing to the popular track by Yo Yo Honey Singh called ‘Lungi Dance,’ when off-air. The pair were also part of the expert panel for the marquee fixture of the tournament, India vs Pakistan which took place in New York.

Akram was certainly not pleased with the way his former side had played not only against India but against the likes of the USA as well having against both the sides to result in their shocking exit from the tournament.
India on the other hand went as per expectations and made it through to the Super 8 having won their first three games and the last one being washed out. They beat the likes of USA, Pakistan and Ireland in their group games.
While the bowling might have fared relatively well for both India and Pakistan, both teams’ batting might not be up to the mark as per their expectations. Both sides’ star opening pairs have failed to deliver in the tournament.
Virat Kohli who was promoted to the top of the order along with Rohit Sharma has registered only single-digit scores in his tournament. Meanwhile, his Pakistan counterpart, Babar Azam has scored 90 runs but has struggled for the most part.
The Indian team will hope that Kohli can find his groove with the bat as they head into the Super 8 stage of the tournament and hope his form takes them to the trophy to end their long-standing drought.
