APPSC Group 2 Mains Exam 2024 Postponed, New Date To Be Announced Soon

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has deferred the date of the Group 2 Services Main exam. As per the official notification, the Group 2 Services Main Exam 2024, which was originally scheduled to be held on July 28, has been postponed due to administrative reasons. Furthermore, the commission mentioned that the revised date of examination will be announced later.

Meanwhile, the Group 2 Services Preliminary Exam was conducted on February 25, 2024. As many as 95,000 candidates qualified for the preliminary exam and have been shortlisted to appear for the main exam. The result for the same was released on April 10, 2024.

“It is hereby informed that the Commission has postponed the Mains Examination for Group II Services (Notification No. 11/2023) scheduled to be held on July 28, 2024, due to administrative reasons. The revised date of the examination will be announced later,” reads the official notification.

Under this recruitment process, APPSC is aiming to fill a total of 897 vacancies across various government departments, including Assistant Section Officer, Sub-Registrar Group 2, Deputy Tahsildar (Group II), Excise Sub Inspector, and Assistant Labour Officer.

APPSC Group 2 Admit Card: Steps to download

Step 1: Log in to the official website of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission at psc.ap.gov.in.

Step 2: Search for and click on the link available on the webpage to download the APPSC Group 2 admit card.

Step 3: Now, key in your registration details and hit the submit button to view the admit card.

Step 4: Once done, the APPSC Group 2 admit card will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Save a copy of the same and take a printout for future use.

APPSC Group 2 Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

Applicants will have to undergo four stages for APPSC Group 2 services, namely the preliminary exam, followed by the main exam (postponed). Then comes the computer proficiency test and, lastly, the document verification round for selection.

Talking about the exam pattern, the APPSC Group 2 Mains Exam consists of two papers — I and II. Both papers will comprise 150 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). Candidates will be given a total of 150 minutes to complete each paper. According to the marking scheme, each correct answer will be awarded one mark, with a negative mark of one-third mark for each wrong answer.
