The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) has released the notification for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. The registration process will commence on July 15 at the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The last date to apply is October 15. The exam will be held offline from 2 pm to 4 pm on December 1.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at 22 National Law Universities in India. The exam is administered by the Consortium of National Law Universities, which represents these institutions at the national level.

CLAT 2025: Who Can Apply?

CLAT UG 2025: Candidates must have passed class 12 with at least 45 per cent marks. While SC, ST, and PwD category students need to secure 40 per cent marks in class 12 exams to be eligible to apply for the law entrance exam. Those scheduled to appear for the class 12 exam in March/April 2025 may also apply.

CLAT PG 2025: Candidates belonging to the general category must have passed LLB with a minimum of 50 per cent marks while SC, ST, and PwD category candidates must have cleared graduation with 45 per cent marks. Those who will be appearing the the final LLB exam in April or May 2025 are also eligible to apply for PG courses.

CLAT 2025: How to apply?

Step 1: Go to the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the CLAT 2025 registration link.

Step 3: Enter your login credentials and click on proceed.

Step 4: Fill in the registration form carefully

Step 5: Pay the application fee.

Step 6: Click on submit.

Step 7: Download and take a printout of the CLAT 2025 acknowledgement form for future reference.

CLAT 2025: Registration Fee

Candidates belonging to the general and OBC categories need to pay an application fee of Rs 4,000, while the applicants belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories need to deposit a fee of Rs 3,500.
