The first merit list for nursery admissions in Delhi will be released today – March 20. The Nursery admissions in schools across Delhi which usually take place in December had begun in February this year. The entire process will conclude on March 31, as per the official notice released by the Directorate of Education.
Those who have made it to the list will proceed towards admissions will get an SMS or email on registered credentials mentioned while filling the form. Parents will have to provide documents to school as well as book a seat by paying the fee. The documents required for admissions include –
— Photograph of the child
— Copy of application form
— Birth certificate of the child
— Resident proof
— SMS or email for confirmation of email
— Income certificate
— Transgender certificate, if required
— Orphan certificate and guardian certificate, where required
— EWS certificate, as applicable
— Caste certificate
— Special needs certificate of the child, if required
At the time of admission, schools can only charge, registration fee, admission fee, caution fee (if the school already charges), and tuition fee, as per the official notice.
For students who could not have made it through the admission process, the next merit list will be released on March 25. In case seats are still left vacant further lists will be issued.
This year, the Delhi government has allowed a relaxation of up to one month in upper age to students seeking admission to nursery. As per earlier rules, a child cannot be more than four years of age for admission to the nursery as of March 31.
