Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff, who were rumoured to be dating for a few years before splitting in mid-2022, were spotted together many times in 2024. From playing volleyball at Akshay Kumar’s place to meeting at an event – there have bene many Disha-Tiger moments that have left fans happy.
Interestingly, in an old interview, Disha had spoken about Tiger and how she had pursued him. During the chat, before the release of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Disha was asked if she was dating Tiger Shroff and she said, “No I am not dating him. I think because I’m not that cute. I’m not cute enough for him. I was trying to impress him, but it didn’t work. I guess he already has too many beautiful actresses around him, he doesn’t give me importance.”
Though the duo never admitted to dating each other, they have always maintained that they are close friends. In an interview during the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan along with Akshay Kumar had opened up about his relationship status. “Are you single? Aapki zindagi kis Disha mein jaa rahi hai?” Times Now.com asked Tiger, while hinting at his dating rumours with Disha Patani. To this, Tiger wittily replied, “Meri ek hi Disha hai life mein… aur wo hai mera kaam (I have only one direction/focus in my life which is my work).”
Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff’s dating rumours were all over the internet for quite some time before it was reported in 2022 that the two actors had parted ways. However, Disha, who was close to Tiger’s family, maintained her bond with them and was often seen spending time with Tiger’s sister Krishna and mother Ayesha Shroff.
On the work front, Tiger Shroff will star with Disha Patani and Pashmina Roshan in Hero No.1. Directed by Jagan Shakti of Mission Mangal fame and produced by Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani. The film is expected to be a big-budget action thriller.
