In India, many dreams of cracking the UPSC CSE. Following the path to fulfilling their dreams, they prepare for one of the toughest competitive examinations in the country to serve at the highest level. While lakhs of people appear in the test, some could make their way to secure the test and get selected for the opportunity.
On Tuesday, the UPSC CSE results were announced. With the results of the applicants, the commission has also released the toppers list. As per the list, Aditya Srivastav and Animesh Pradhan have secured the first and second positions, respectively.
Amongst the 1016 secured candidates, Vivek Singh from Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh stood at 256th rank in UPSC, this year. Vivek Singh is the son of the principal assistant posted at the Regional Rural Development Institute in Ayodhya, Maya Singh. However, Singh is a resident of Vishnoharpur village.
According to the reports, Vivek has studied B. Tech and earlier wanted to become an engineer. However, he could not succeed and tried to join the army. Later, he failed in that too, ending up preparing for the civil services. In the fourth attempt at UPSC, Vivek finally succeeded in the examination.
Vivek Singh told News18 that it takes a lot of hard work preparing for the civil services. He used to go to the library in the morning every day and then rest in the afternoon. Later, he visited the library again, where he prepared for the examination till the night. While thanking his parents for their motivation and support, Vivek said that they never pressured him to study. However, the series of failures let him do better every time.
Suggesting the aspiring candidates of UPSC, Vivek Singh said that it is normal to feel disappointment at times. All they need to do is talk to their friends, share their problems, and always keep on going. He also said that the ones preparing for the examination should never give up on working hard.
