The India Post has released a notification for the recruitment of 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS). According to the notification, recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevak will be done in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Northeast, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.
The application has commenced today, July 15 on the official website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The application fee is Rs 100. Selection for the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak will be based on the results of class 10.
India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Who Can Apply?
Candidates who have cleared class 10 with compulsory mathematics and English can apply for the posts. Furthermore, they must know how to ride a bicycle. They must be between 18 to 40 years of age. Candidates from reserved categories will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Salary Details
There are two posts in Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment — Assistant Branch Postmaster and Branch Post Master. The pay scale of Assistant Branch Postmaster is between Rs 10,000 to Rs 24,470. While the pay scale of the Branch Postmaster is between Rs 12,000 to Rs 29,380. Those selected for the posts of Chowkidar will get a monthly salary of Rs 20,000.
