Indian Army Recruitment 2024 for 379 Posts Begins at joinindiarmy.nic.in, Steps to Apply

Indian Army has started the recruitment process for the Short Service Commission course 2024. Interested unmarried male and female engineering graduates as well as widows of Indian Armed Forces defence personnel who passed away while wearing a harness and who want to apply for the course can apply now at joinindianarmy.nic.in, the official website of the Indian Army.

This time, this recruitment drive aims to fill 379 vacancies in the organisation. The registration process started on July 16 and will end on August 14, 2024. The Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA) is anticipated to start the course in April 2025. Indian Army Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

As of April 1, 2025, the age range needs to be 20 to 27 years old. (Candidates born on or before April 02, 1998, and April 01, 2005).

The official notice contains information on the age restriction and educational qualifications for widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who died in Harness.

Education Qualification

Applicants may apply if they are in their last year of an engineering degree programme or if they have completed the required engineering degree course. Candidates enrolled in the final year of the engineering degree programme must be able to provide documents of their passing the engineering degree examination by April 1, 2025, along with mark sheets from each semester and year. They must also produce their engineering degree certificate within 12 weeks of the beginning of Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA) training.

Step 1. Go to indianarmy.nic.in, the Indian Army’s official website.

Step 2. Select ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’ and then ‘Registration.’

Step 3. After carefully reading the instructions, complete the online registration form.

Step 4. Once you have registered, select “Apply Online” from the Dashboard.

Step 5. Next, select “Apply” next to the Technical Course for the Short Service Commission.

Step 6. After carefully reading the directions, click “Continue” to complete the application.

Step 7. Select ‘Save &Continue’.

Step 8. Click on “Submit” after reviewing your details and screen save it for future use.

Indian Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

The organization’s cut-off will determine the shortlisted applicants. Those whose applications are selected will get an email with their centre allocation when they are shortlisted. Candidates need to choose their SSB dates after being given a Selection Centre that are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

There will be two stages to the selection process for candidates. After finishing Stage I, participants will move to Stage 2.
