JEE Main Exam 2024: It is required of candidates to arrive at the examination centre well in advance, preferably two hours before the test starts

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is gearing up to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 Session 1, scheduled from today, January 24 up to February 1, 2024. Admit cards for the first session have been released by the exam conducting body, accompanied by instructions for candidates to adhere to during the examination at the designated centres. Here is a quick look at the important instructions and exam day guidelines.

JEE Main Exam 2024: Items to Carry

For the JEE Main Exam 2024, candidates are required to bring the following items to the exam centre:

— JEE Main 2024 admit card.

— A valid photo ID proof.

— A passport-size photo for pasting on the attendance sheet.

— A self-declaration form (Downloadable from the NTA website, to be printed on an A4 size sheet and filled).

— A ballpoint pen for the exam.

— A transparent water bottle

JEE Main Exam 2024: Dress Code

Candidates are advised to adhere to the following dress code:

— Avoid wearing clothing with too many pockets.

— Refrain from wearing any form of jewellery.

— It is recommended that candidates opt for simple and light attire, such as a t-shirt and jeans, or a top or kurti with leggings.

JEE Main Exam 2024: Exam-Day Guidelines

It is required of candidates to arrive at the examination centre well in advance, preferably two hours before the test starts. All candidates must arrive at the test centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time.

During the exam, candidates should write their name and roll number on the top of the rough sheet given during the test. All candidates must remember to return the rough sheets as well as the admit cards to the invigilator before exiting the exam hall.

Items such as mobile phones, smart watches, electronic devices, or any other unauthorised items will not be allowed inside the exam hall.

Students who are diabetic can bring sugar tablets, fruits, and water in transparent bottles and packets to the test centre. However, packed items like chocolates, candy, and sandwiches are not allowed.
