The Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Uttar Pradesh, has initiated the online JEECUP 2024 Round 2 choice-filling process. Candidates who qualified in the JEECUP 2024 examination can now proceed to fill out their preferences for colleges and courses for the counselling process. To do so, candidates need to visit the official website of JEECUP at jeecup.admissions.nic.in. As per the JEECUP 2024 counselling official schedule, the Round 2 choice-filling facility will remain accessible until today, July 24. Based on the choices filled out by the applicants, the council will declare the Round 2 seat allotment result on July 25.
Candidates can deposit the online seat acceptance-cum-counselling fee for government, government-aided, and PPP polytechnic institutes from July 26 to July 30. The council further states that the candidates can withdraw their seats from Round 2 on August 1, 2024.
JEECUP 2024 Round 2 Counselling: Options after Seat Allotment
After being allotted a seat in JEECUP 2024 counselling, candidates will have the following options to choose from:
Freeze option: This option means that candidates are satisfied with the seat allotted to them in the current round of counselling and they lock their seat choice and confirm their acceptance. Upon choosing this option, candidates also state that they do not wish to participate in further rounds or consider any other seat options.
Float option: When a candidate chooses the ‘float’ option, they not only get the opportunity to accept the currently allotted seat but also get considered for higher-preference choices, if a better seat becomes available in subsequent rounds of counselling.
Slide option: Opting for the ‘slide’ option enables candidates to accept the currently allotted seat, but also slide to a seat of higher preference within the same institution during subsequent rounds, if such a choice becomes available.
JEECUP Round 2 Counselling 2024: How to Fill in the Choices
Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of JEECUP at jeecup.admissions.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the link that reads, ‘Round 2 Choice Filling for JEECUP Counselling 2024’ on the homepage.
Step 3: Upon clicking, applicants will be redirected to a new page.
Step 4: Key in your requested credentials, that is your application number, password, and security pin and hit submit.
Step 5: Once done, proceed with the choice-filling process and save your preference.
Step 6: Print a hardcopy of the same for future use.
JEECUP 2024 Round 2 Counselling: Documents Required
It is to be noted by the candidates that the round 2 document verification at the district help centres is scheduled from July 26 to 30. They must carry the following documents while reporting to the allotted institute during JEECUP counselling:
