Bundelkhand University, based in Jhansi, has achieved an A++ grade in the NAAC (National Assessment Accreditation Council) achievement. In an interview with a portal, Professor Mukesh Pandey provided this information. This university received an A+ grade in the evaluation conducted in December 2023. It had submitted a proposal requesting a review of the evaluation. In this review, the CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) marks of the university increased and it was awarded an A++ grade. The colleges with A++ accreditation are the high-performance colleges with the highest grades. The teachers, staff and students took out a procession with drums and danced in the university campus on hearing this accomplishment. Vice Chancellor and Professor Mukesh Pandey was welcomed into the institution with flowers and garlands. Many people congratulated the Vice Chancellor and sweets were also distributed on this occasion.
According to the Vice Chancellor, the teachers, students and officers deserve appreciation for this milestone. Mukesh Pandey said that his institution is grateful to all the officials including the Governor, Chief Minister, and Minister of Higher Education. According to him, with this new grading of NAAC, students will be able to secure more employment opportunities. Bundelkhand University has achieved the highest academic success after 30 years. It is noteworthy that NAAC grading was started in 1994.
Bundelkhand University was in the news sometime back when it initiated admissions for the physiotherapy course. The requirements for this course were:
1. Candidates must have finished their Class 12 with a minimum of 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
2. They must have also studied English as a compulsory subject.
3. The admission was to be done on 30 seats and the fee for this 4.5-year course is Rs 52,000 per year.
4. The registration process for the entrance examination has started.
