For children, nothing is better than making their parents proud of their educational achievements. There is an atmosphere of immense joy in the family of Akash Khatri, from the state of Madhya Pradesh, who secured an impressive rank in the UPSC examination.
Akash Khatri is a resident of Tendukhera tehsil, in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. He secured the all-India ranking of 259, in the UPSC CSE 2023. Akash is given the post of Assistant Commandant Central Empowered Police Force, reports Local18. The aspiring young man’s father, named Anandi, works as a technician at the PHE department. He is posted as a hand pump repairman. His incredible achievement is a source of pride for the whole Bundelkhand region.
The achiever shared his story of hard work and struggle with Local18. Akash revealed that he got a job at the India Post Office, based on his skills and talent. He said, “I worked there for about 2 months, but did not feel like it.” Then he decided to quit his job and went on to complete his BTech from the Indira Gandhi Government Engineering College, in Sagar.
After getting his degree, he appeared for the Patwari examination, securing a Patwari job with a score of 141. So, while he was returning from his training, the UPSC 2023 result was declared. It was his third attempt at the examination. Crediting his success to his family, Akash stated, “Behind this success are the blessings of my parents and the affection of my elder brother, who always stood with me.”
When Akash finally reached home, he was greeted with celebrations, while his mother performed aarti. A procession was led on his name in the area, to mark the occasion. After it reached the area of Galla Mandi, Akash garlanded the statue of Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
