MP Board Exams 2024: Evaluation Of Papers Underway, Results Soon
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education Board has assigned the task of evaluating the copies of classes 10 and class 12 to 25,000 teachers.

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education Board (MPBSE) began conducting class 10 examinations on February 5, followed by class 12 exams on February 6. Remarkably, the MPBSE initiated the evaluation of answer copies starting on February 22, 2024, even before the completion of class 10 and class 12 exams. This indicates that the results for MP Board exams in 2024 are likely to be announced sooner than usual.

The MPBSE has assigned the task of evaluating the copies of classes 10 and class 12 to 25,000 teachers. These teachers are responsible for assessing approximately 17 lakh copies of students who participated in board examinations. Clear directives have been issued to ensure transparency in the evaluation process. The MPBSE class 10 exams will conclude on February 28, while the class 12 exams will end on March 5.

As per the information provided by the MPBSE, teachers involved in the evaluation of MP Board Class 10 and 12 copies will receive compensation per exam paper. Teachers assessing MPBSE 10 class copies are directed to receive Rs 15 for each copy evaluated, while those evaluating class 12 copies will be compensated with Rs 16 for each answer sheet checked.

To ensure transparency in the evaluation process of class 10 and class 12 exams, MPBSE has issued specific instructions for teachers. According to the answer sheet evaluation guidelines, teachers will face penalties for any errors made during copy-checking. In case of inaccuracies in evaluation, such as over or under-scoring, teachers will be fined. A deduction of Rs 100 will be applied for each mark discrepancy from the evaluation fee.

To pass the MPBSE exam 2024, students must attain a minimum of 33% marks in each subject. In the event of falling short of this requirement, students will have the opportunity to appear for the MP Board Supplementary Examination to qualify.

The MPBSE has planned to announce the board exam results as early as the second week of April this year. This initiative is aimed at ensuring prompt result declaration by implementing a systematic evaluation process for answer sheets. Usually, MPBSE has typically revealed the results for both class 10 and class 12 in the second or third week of May.
