Rajasthan Medical Council to Begin FMG Internship Application Process from June 17
Medical graduates who meet the eligibility requirements can register on the official website, rmcjaipur.org, beginning June 17

The Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) will start accepting applications from foreign medical graduates for the Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) for the academic year 2024-25. Medical graduates who meet the eligibility requirements can register on the official website, rmcjaipur.org, beginning June 17. The internship application timetable has been announced on the website as well.

Applications for seats are accepted on a pro-rata basis, based on the total number of non-teaching hospitals (connected medical colleges) in the state. The official notice stated that the Rajasthan Medical Council reserves the authority to refuse anyone who does not meet the eligibility criteria. Online counselling will only be available to those who have been selected in a single and final round. These candidates will be able to enrol in colleges by the attached medical deadline.

The merit list will be generated based on the National Board of Examination (NBE). The Rajasthan Medical Council will review all applications and generate two merit lists based on these criteria-

Merit List 1: Candidates must have a certificate as proof of address, be a resident of Rajasthan (based on NBE score) and have finished their 10+2 education from an equivalent board such as CBSE or Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education.

Merit List 2: Candidates who are prepared based on NBE and live in other states. The merit list will include the score/marks received by the in-case contender.

Candidates who have previously completed internships through this council are ineligible for this online counselling. If a candidate applies again for this counselling, their application will be rejected and he or she will be held responsible.

Once the election results are out, candidates must begin the internship programme as soon as the list is published on the Rajasthan Medical Council’s official website. Further, the notice mentions that if any information or document is discovered to be incorrect during the application process or the internship, the application form may be rejected, and the candidate will be held completely liable.

Lastly, candidates must note that internships at non-teaching hospitals are unpaid. Candidates must affirm that they will not seek any remuneration while attending medical college.
