The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Service Examinations 2023 exam results have been released, and among the many successful candidates, Vishal Dubey, an Agra native, secured the 296th rank, marking an extraordinary win in this highly competitive exam. Vishal, who is originally from Farrukhabad, has shown perseverance and commitment on his path to success. His father, Sanjay Dubey, serves as a head constable in the police force stationed in Kanpur.

Vishal’s educational trajectory began at Bangalore’s Military School, where he completed his foundational education. He then went on to complete his graduation at Agra St. John’s, where he studied Political Science. Vishal is presently pursuing an MA in Political Science, and his academic goals are in line with his desire to work in the civil services.

Vishal’s strategic choices, including Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) as an optional subject in the UPSC examination, reflect his desire for depth and insight in his field of study. Vishal joined Sankalp IAS Institute to prepare for UPSC three years ago. After putting a lot of effort into his studies, he eventually passed the UPSC exam on his first attempt, ranking 296.

However, Vishal’s path to success was not without obstacles. Fighting illness head-on, Vishal overcame a case of chickenpox shortly before the main exam. Despite being limited to bed rest for twenty days, Vishal’s determination was unwavering. Even though his illness was a significant barrier, Vishal did not give up and continued to study for the mains exam despite the discomfort.

Vishal enthusiastically shared the news of his accomplishment with his father, Sanjay Dubey, whose pride and excitement knew no bounds upon learning of his son’s achievement. Vishal’s triumph not only validates his resolute determination but also motivates those pursuing their paths to success in the civil service exams
