Many actresses in Tamil cinema don’t shine on screen after working in a couple of films. But there is one actress who has gained popularity since her first project. The actress is Priyanka Kothari, who is often credited as Nisha Kothari or Amoha. Priyanka Kothari made her acting debut with the 2003 Tamil-language romantic comedy film Jay Jay, along with R Madhavan. The movie turned out to be a super hit, and she became a star overnight. But the actress is currently away from the limelight. Meanwhile, a picture of the former actress has gone viral, which is currently garnering everyone’s attention.
In the recent photo, the Jay Jay actress is seen in an orange-coloured embroidered suit. She teamed it with a matching netted dupatta. She chose minimal makeup and left her wavy traces open. Priyank was born in West Bengal. She moved to New Delhi while in Class 10 and got her bachelor’s degree in physical science from Delhi University at Dyal Singh College, Delhi. After college, she initially started her career in modelling. She, as a model, has appeared in several advertisement campaigns. She appeared in the music video for the remix of Chadti Jawani Meri Chaal Mastani.
In 2003, she got her big breakthrough when actor R Madhavan recommended her for an audition in his film after viewing her photographs. She made her acting debut with him in the Tamil film Jay Jay, credited as Amoga. Since then, she has never looked back.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with the film Sarkar, and later that same year, she appeared in James, directed by Ram Gopal Varma and Rohit Jugraj, respectively. After this, she was regularly seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s films like Shiva, Darna Zaroori Hai, Darling, and Agyaat, to name a few. She took a break from the entertainment world after her 2016 action film, Bullet Rani.
Priyanka Kothari made her comeback last year with the romantic action drama movie Ala Ila Ela. It was directed by Dwarki Ragav and featured Mohammad Ali, Brahmanandam and Haripriya in pivotal roles.
