Tarun Tahiliani, the creative genius behind Rakul's ivory lehenga, offered a sneak peek into the intricate craftsmanship involved in crafting the ensemble.

Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani exchanged vows in a charming ceremony held in Goa on February 21, 2024. Since their nuptials, they’ve been enchanting fans by sharing snippets of their celebrations, showcasing their dreamy wedding and exquisite attire. Their union has captivated many, with admirers swooning over their breathtaking outfits and romantic moments. Through social media, the couple has offered glimpses of their special day, unveiling their attire and rituals, allowing fans a peek into their magical journey together. Rakul looked radiant in a pastel pink lehenga for the wedding, while her ivory lehenga for the Anand Karaj ceremony was equally enchanting.

The intricate design and soft colour made her look like a princess. The photos from the bridal photoshoot, which the couple did for Brides Today magazine, have been circulating on the internet for quite some time now, garnering admiration from their fans. Now, the mastermind behind Rakul’s stunning lehenga, Tarun Tahiliani, shared some behind-the-scenes glimpses of the making of the outfit on his official Instagram account.

The video shared by his official handle shows Rakul entering the studio, checking through various lehengas, and discussing her preferences with the designer. The final product was a breathtaking ensemble featuring a delicate mirror-work choli, a flowy skirt, and a drape adorned with pearls.

In a caption explaining the making of the lehenga, Tarun Tahiliani described the attire as a “A resplendent chikankari lehenga, adorned with celestial mirror work, draped her in soft ivory and gold tones.” The ensemble was paired with an embellished blouse boasting exaggerated sleeves and a silk tissue georgette veil delicately scalloped, showcasing timeless elegance with a nod to heritage.

For their Anand Karaj ceremony before the wedding, Rakul and Jackky chose an ivory theme for their attire.

Rakul’s mirror-work ivory lehenga set included a cropped choli, a floor-length lehenga skirt, and two dupattas. The blouse featured a sweetheart neckline, puffed half-length sleeves, pearl embroidery, and intricate mirror embellishments, while the lehenga had an A-line silhouette with heavy layered and pleated ghera, adorned with mirror work in intricate patterns.

Rakul accessorised her outfit with layered Kundan necklaces, matching earrings, big kundan tika, blush bangles, kadhas, gold Kaleeras, and rings.

Rakul and Jackky had their Anand Karaj ceremony on February 21 afternoon, followed by a beautiful and intimate Sindhi wedding ceremony in the evening.
