The Ukraine striker, who scored twice against Sweden, missed training Sunday because of a knee injury.
Donetsk: A Ukraine team official says captain Andriy Shevchenko has injured his left knee and is a doubt for his team's must-win match against England on Tuesday at the European Championship.
Shevchenko, who scored both his team's goals in an opening 2-1 win over Sweden, missed training on Sunday because of the injury.
Team spokesman Oleksandr Glyvynskiy says the striker's knee is swollen and that "he is doubtful for the match" against England in Group D.
Ukraine need to beat England to stand a chance of advancing to the quarter-finals.
Shevchenko is ending his international career after Euro 2012.
