Good news for all the Heartstopper fans, as the makers of the popular show have finally confirmed a release window for season 3 in a new on-set video. Taking to X, OTT platform Netflix dropped a behind-the-scenes video from the sets of the show featuring the main leads Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke). The new season will be streaming from October this year.
As per Deadline, the new season will focus on the continuation and deepening of Nick and Charlie’s relationship. Netflix shared the video on their official X handle and wrote, “Cue the leaves. Heartstopper season 3 is coming to Netflix this October!!!

The video clip began with Nick and Charlie seeming to be standing at an amusement park set with Connor saying “So Nick and Charlie have..Its started to get a bit more steamy. We’re about to rehearse but we’re about to tell you what, we are about to have a great time.”
The clip also features a few moments from the shooting of the show’s third season at the amusement part setup.
Actor William Gao, talking about his character Tao in Season 3 said in the video, “Tao is beginning to figure out what he loves to do and what his hobbies are, He’s finding a passion of something that he begins to really love. And he does it to bring joy to people to cheer up other characters in the show.”
Connor added, “The tension is high. It’s like the sexual tension, love, we’re all there.”
According to Deadline, the season 3 official logline reads, “Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realize that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.”
Helmed by Andy Newbery, the show also stars Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Corrina Brown, Kizzy Edgell, and Tobie Donovan in pivotal roles.
