Simple Square Pillow
Lay your blanket flat and fold one side to the middle. Spread your blanket on your bed, a table, or the floor, and smooth out any wrinkles. Then, take one of the long sides of your blanket and fold it over to the center of the blanket. If your blanket is a square, fold any side into the middle.
Fold the other side of the blanket over the fold you just made. Grab the other long end of the blanket. Then, bring it to the other side of the blanket, placing it on top of the fold you just made.
Bring the ends to the center of the blanket. Grab one end of the blanket and fold it over to the center of the blanket. Then, take the other end and fold it to the center so the 2 ends are touching.
Tuck one of the ends inside the other to make the pillow. Open up the pocket inside one of the ends. Then, grab the folded edge of the other end and stuff it inside the pocket. You now have a square blanket pillow!
Structured Square Pillow
Spread out the blanket and fold one end ¼ of the way under the blanket. Lay your blanket flat on your bed or the floor. Then, grab one of the short ends of your blanket and fold it about a quarter of the way under the blanket. If your blanket is a square, fold any side under. If your blanket has a decorative side, spread out your blanket with the decorative side facing down. This way, your pillow will show the decorative side.
Fold one of the long sides to the center of the blanket. Grab one of the long sides of the blanket. Then, fold it over to the center of the blanket, which is about ⅓ of the way over the blanket.
Pull the other long side over the fold you just made. Grab the other long side of the blanket. Then, fold it over to the other side of the blanket, so it rests over the fold you just made. After making this fold, your blanket should have a square-shaped pocket on one end of the blanket and an unfolded end on the other.
Fold the end of the blanket to the square pocket at the other end. Grab the end of the blanket that is unfolded. Then, fold it in quarters over itself until you reach the square pocket at the other end of the blanket. At this point, your blanket should be folded into a square.
Flip the pocket flap over the blanket to make the pillow. Flip the blanket over and look for the pocket. Reach inside the flap and turn it inside out, tucking it over the blanket. This creates a tidy square pillow!
Cylindrical Pillow
Lay the blanket flat and fold one end ¼ way under the blanket. Spread your blanket flat on your bed, the floor, or a table. Then, grab one of the short ends of the blanket and fold it under itself. Just fold it about ¼ of the way under the blanket. If your blanket is a square, fold any side under. Lay your blanket with the decorative side face down to make the pretty side into the pillow.
Bring one of the long sides to the center of the blanket. Grab one of the long sides of the blanket. Then, fold it about ⅓ of the way over the blanket, or to the center.
Fold the other long side over the fold you just made. Grab the other long side of the blanket. Then, bring it over to the other side so it covers the fold you just made. At this point, your blanket should look like a rectangle with a square pocket on one end.
Roll the end of the blanket to the square pocket on the other end. Grab the end of the blanket opposite the square pocket. Then, roll up the blanket until you get to the pocket. Roll the blanket tightly or loosely, depending on the look you want. A loose roll gives you a thicker-looking pillow, while a tighter roll gives you a thinner pillow.
Tuck the blanket into the flap of the pocket to make the pillow. Slip your hands inside of the pocket flap and flip it inside out. As you flip it inside out, tuck the flap over the rest of the blanket so you insert it inside of the pocket. Now you have a stylish cylindrical pillow!
Knot Pillow
Roll up the long sides of the blanket to the center. Grab one of the long sides of the blanket and tightly roll it up until you get to the middle of the blanket. Then, grab the other long side and roll it up to the center of the blanket so the 2 rolls are touching. If you are folding a large blanket, fold the sides to the center of the blanket first. Then, roll up both sides.
Tie the blanket into a knot. Cross one end of the blanket over the other to create a loop. Then, pull one of the ends through the loop to make the knot. Tighten the knot as little or as much as you want. A loose knot makes a larger, thicker pillow, while a tighter knot makes a more compact pillow.
Tuck the ends inside the knot to finish the pillow. Grab one of the ends and tuck it under one of the sides of the knot. Then, do the same with the other end of the blanket. This creates a chic, rounded knot pillow!
