Visit https://twitter.com/JimCarrey. This will take you to Jim Carrey's verified Twitter page. Mr. Carrey is moderately active on Twitter, usually posting several times a week.

Be sure that you are logged in to Twitter. You should see your username and picture in the upper right-hand corner. If you don't have a Twitter account, you will not be able to send a tweet to Jim Carrey, but you will be able to view his page.

Click the blue button that says “Tweet to Jim Carrey” under his picture. This will open a pop-up box with a text window that says “@JimCarrey” followed by a flashing cursor.

Write your message to Mr. Carrey. Your tweet will be limited to 280 characters, so try to compose a thoughtful message that gets to the point quickly. Keep in mind that Mr. Carrey is a busy celebrity, and he may not have time to respond to all of the messages he receives. Due to the settings on his page, you will not be able to send Jim Carrey a Direct Message.

Sending an Autograph Request

Write a letter to Jim Carrey asking for an autograph. Your letter should be courteous and brief. Try to keep it to 1 page, and be clear about the purpose of your letter.

Get 2 large envelopes. One envelope will be used to send your letter to Mr. Carrey and the other one will be stamped and addressed to you so he can send an autograph back. If you want to receive an autographed photo, envelopes should be at least 8 by 10 in (20 by 25 cm).

Stamp and address the second envelope to yourself. It's customary for the sender to pay for the postage when sending a return envelope. If you're not sure about current postage rates, or you need to buy stamps, take your envelopes and letter to the post office.

Place your letter and return envelope in the envelope addressed to Mr. Carrey. If you have to fold the return envelope so it fits inside of the first one, it's okay to do so. Mail your letter and wait for a reply! Replies to fan mail can often take several weeks, or even months, so be patient as you wait for your autograph to arrive!
