- To log out on most devices, click your profile picture and select "Log Out."
- Uncheck "Remember me" when logging in to avoid the browser remembering your account info, thus signing you in the next time you visit the site.
- You can also remove accounts from you account list to keep them from being accessed via your account if you forget to sign out of one of them.
Using the Regular Website
Go to your profile page. From any screen in your browser, click your profile picture in the upper right.
Choose "Sign out" in the dropdown menu. When successful, you'll be taken back to the home page.
Using Twitter Lite
Go to the Account page. Tap on your profile picture or go to mobile.twitter.com/account.
Tap 'Log out'.
Using the iOS X/Twitter App
Click on your profile picture in the top lefthand corner of the app.
Select "Settings and privacy."
Hit "Account."
Select "Log out," at the bottom.
Confirm by tapping "Log out." This will only remove the account from your app, not actually delete your X account, and effectively log you out of X.
Using the Android App
Click either the menu icon (☰) or your profile icon, in the top menu of the app.
Hit "Settings and privacy."
Tap "Account" in the menu.
Select "Log out."
Hit "OK" to confirm that you want to log out.
Using X Pro (TweetDeck) on a Computer
Hit the cog icon in the navigation bar on the left side of the screen.
Click "Log out".
Confirm that you want to sign out by hitting "Log out". This will log you out of the main account you're using for X Pro. If you want to remove another account from your list, instead, go to "Accounts" in the navigation bar (the icon looks like two people). Click the down arrow on the account you want to leave, and then hit "Leave this team," followed by "Leave."
