The Malayalam audience was in for a huge Christmas surprise after Kunchacko Boban dropped a festive surprise for his fans and sent them into a frenzy. The actor released a thrilling update on his upcoming movie Grrr. The actor shared the post on his Instagram with an exciting poster which looks promising and entertaining.

Kunchacko Boban shared a glimpse of his movie by unveiling a poster of his movie Grrr. The intriguing poster shows Kunchacko Boban and Suraj Venjaramoodu looking scared as they come face-to-face with a lion. It shows a unique low shot from the lion’s perspective while the stars look visibly fearful. Kunchacko Boban took to Instagram and wrote, “Roaring Fun soon. Grrr.” The hashtag read February hinting at the release month of the movie.

The comment section was filled with praise. A user wrote, “From the director of Ezra.” Another commented, “Expecting a hunter Shambhu comedy action, an all-entertainment movie.” A fan wrote, “Next hunter Shambhu. Love you!”

Grrr is penned and directed by Jayakrishnan and the tagline of the movie reads, “All rise, the king is here”, emphasising the lion-centred theme. The movie is slated to hit the theatres in February 2024. As per media reports, Kunchacko Boban has shot scenes with a real lion in South Africa to add authenticity to the movie. The movie is touted to be a comedic film that will show the protagonist’s adventure who unexpectedly finds himself in front of a lion, thus setting off a rescue mission by the zookeepers.

The movie is backed by Shaji Nadesan and Arya under the banner of August Cinemas. The film is being co-produced by Cineholix and is penned by Jayakrishnan and Praveen S. On the professional front, Jayakrishnan made his directorial debut with Ezra, a horror thriller which starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Sudev Nair, Sujith Shankar and Priya Anand in 2017. The movie was remade into Hindi and titled Dybbuk.
