The Cabinet accorded sanction to grant aided school status 11 special schools, which are deaf-dumb-blind educational institutions, functioning in various parts of the state.
Eight among them are in the High School category and three are Higher Secondary schools.
Fr Augustino Visini School, Mattancherry, Jojy Bhavan School for the Hearing Impaired, Neeleswaram, Royal School, Kothamangalam, Deepalayam Special School, Perinthalmamanna, Rotary School for Hearing Impaired, Vadakkancherry, HS sections of Deaf School, Parappanangadi, Karunya Bhavan and Buds School are those high schools which will get aided status.
In the HSS category, the listed schools are Deaf and Dumb school at Enathu, Pathanamthitta district, St Clare Oral school for the Deaf, Ernakulam and Deaf and Dumb School, Neerpara, Kottayam district.
