New Delhi: The blood bath continued in Iraq on Wednesday as 127 people were confirmed dead in four bombings in Baghdad.

Almost 82 people were reported killed and 94 others wounded in an attack in the Sadriya market in central Baghdad, when a bomb was detonated in a parked car.

An hour later, a suicide car bomber crashed into an Iraqi police checkpoint at an entrance to Sadr City, the capital's biggest Shia Muslim neighborhood, killing at least 30.

Eleven people were killed when a parked car exploded near a private hospital in the central neighborhood of Karradah. The fourth explosion was from a bomb left on a minibus in the northwestern Risafi area, which killed four people.
