Judge also rejected the plea to transfer the case to Juvenile Justice Board.

Mumbai: A Special Sessions Court hearing the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case on Saturday observed that Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab is a major and he was at least 20 years old on the day of the attack.

Special Judge ML Tahiliyani also rejected the plea to transfer the case to Juvenile Justice Board.

A medical investigation had found that Kasab was over 20 years while his lawyer, Abbas Kazmi had claimed that the Pakistani terrorist was only 17-year-old at the time of the Mumbai attacks and that he should be tried by a juvenile court.

Kasab, the only terrorist captured alive during the November 2008 attacks, is being tried at the Special Court set up inside the Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.
