324 government schools lack toilets for girls

GULBARGA: It is a fact that 324 government schools in the district do not have toilets for girls. This embarrassing truth came to light recently when the district administration submitted a report before the Supreme Court.
Official sources told Express that based on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), the apex court asked all the district administrations to submit a report about the number of the schools which do not have separate toilets for girls.As per the details submitted by the DC, 237 government lower and higher primary schools and 87 government high schools do not have toilet facility for girls.
