BANGALORE: Four Nigerian nationals were arrested by Kodigehalli police for cheating man of Rs 13lakh. Momodu Prince Julius, 39, Kofi Francis, 29, Immanueal Ujunwa Okaram, 28, and Ibeh Ugochokwu, 20, allegedly cheated Jayaprakash, the victim, by sending him emails with lucrative offers. According to police, Jayaprakash, received an email saying that an Iraq bomb blast victim had left 22.5 million USD at a bank in Iraq. They lured him by claiming they had accessed the money and would give 40 per cent of the money, as the victim had no heirs. They showed fake death and fixed deposit certificates of the account holder. Based on the complaint lodged by Jayaprakash the above four miscreants were arrested on November 26 and they have been remanded to judicial custody. The police seized a laptop, modem, foreign currencies worth Rs 80,000.
