Nagpur: In a major security lapse, five prisoners have fled from Nagpur Central Jail in Maharashtra. The five prisoners Satyendra Gupta, Mohd Shoeb Salim Khan, Bisen Uikey, Prem Nepali and Akash Thakur escapewd from the jail on Monday night.
While the first three have been booked under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), the other two face charges under the Arms Act and Robbery.
Taking a serious view of the incident, Maharashtra government has suspended the jailor Vaibhav Kamble.
