A talent fest for all orphanages

CHENNAI: Siragugal, a two-day annual orphanage talent carnival organised by Bhumi (a non-profit organisation that works with orphaned and underprivileged children across India) will be held today and tomorrow at MCC School, Chetpet. The event will cover sports, science, art and much more. Today, about 500 children will participate in on-field sporting activities like relayand long jump. Tomorrow, about 1,200 children will participate in events like dance, painting and elocution.  At least 50 orphanages from Chennai, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur will be taking part.
