A treat of events for children at BIAL

Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) today started the festivities around Children’s Day with a central theme termed Aspire. The theme is translated through vocational tours of the airport wherein children receive the opportunity to understand the various job functions existing at the airport and create their own aspiration for a particular role. Additionally all children passing through the airport on Children’s Day will be in for a sweet treat as well receive a specially created sketch book titled One Day At My Airport. Recently, 45 children from the NGO IGI were spotted at the airport cheering a pilot who spoke to them about his journey into the profession. Other BIAL employees engaged in CSR activities involved the little ones with storytelling, mimicry and a grand vocational tour of the airport.Jay Shrikrishnan a teacher with IGI commented, “This activity at the airport has been unique for the children. All this time they thought of the airport as an exciting place to experience but today I saw the awe in their eyes when they realised that one day they could be working here. I think each one of them is going back with a dream today and we are thankful that BIAL organised this event.” With aspirations soaring, a child S Monisha, said, “When I grow up, I will become an operations assistant and drive one of these yellow Follow Me cars that guide the aircrafts to their parking stands.”
