New Delhi: Legion, the group of anonymous hackers who compromised the Twitter accounts of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party and fugitive liquor baron Vijay Mallya, has now threatened to target the Sansad.nic.in domain that hosts email IDs of members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

“Next is a dump of sansad.nic.in emails…Which is – quite big, It includes a lot of _BIG FISH_,” online magazine FactorDaily quoted one of the Legion hackers as saying.

In the interview conducted through “an instant messenger which provides secure chat,” the magazine’s reporter asked if this hacking could potentially damage innocents.

“It might, it might not. But then again – only government affiliated people get e-mails @sansad.nic.in…If it does damage innocents – it’s their problem for using an insecure mail service,” came the reply.

The group also claimed it was not on Twitter and disassociated themselves with all Twitter handles operating in their name. Also read: Twitter Hacks: What is Legion, the Next Target & is There Any Political Motive?

Legion also claimed India’s banking system can be easily hacked but said they won’t do it.

“We don’t support any centralized form of banking,” said the group that called their political philosophy as “anarchist”.

“We ourselves have confidential data pertaining to NPCI/ IDRBT hub servers, and even have the encryption keys/ certificates used by some banks in India,” Legion said, adding that theoretically, they could generate ‘fraudulent’ financial messages.

Earlier, in an interview with The Washington Post, a representative for Legion said he and “a group of others — who he claims number in the higher single digits – are based around the world.

In the interview with FactorDaily, the Legion representative skips the question on if they were based in India.

“If you’re asking if I have an Indian passport- the answer is no,” he said.

When asked what their endgame is, the Legion representative replied: “Die from an overdose of LSD combined with DMT on the peaky ranges of the Himalayas.”
