New Delhi: An Indore-bound Air Sahara Flight had to return to Delhi Thursday after malfunctioning of its wings, airport sources here said Friday.
"The S2-6147 flight had left for Indore at 6:10 pm (IST) to reach its destination at 6:57 pm with 43 passengers on board. But due to a hydraulic system failure, its wings were not functioning properly," a reliable source said.
"It returned at 6:00 pm in emergency," the source added.
Air Sahara authorities admitted there was a problem with the Indore flight but said they had fixed it within minutes.
"Yes, there was a technical problem but we fixed it within 20 minutes of its return to Delhi. All the passengers were safe and later reached their destination," Sahara's public relation manager Neeta Raina said.
On March 11, a Kolkata-Delhi IndiGo flight was called back to Kolkata within minutes of take-off after the airport authorities received an anonymous phone call, informing that a terrorist might be travelling on it.
The plane was already in the air for 30 minutes when it was asked to return.
