TIRUCHY: Despite obtaining bail on Wednesday, DMK MLA and former minister Anitha Radhakrishnan was not released from prison due to the non-inclusion of one of the sub-sections under which he was charged, in the bail order.He was supposed to be released following the bail order delivered by the Thoothukudi Sessions Court. However, the prison officials needed the inclusion of the sub-section of crime number 185 under which he was charged, in the court order, stalling his release on Wednesday.His advocate Kirubakaran said, “We have obtained bail for all the sections, but due to a printing error, the sub-section 3 of crime number 185 was not included in the bail order,” he said.The bail order needed the attachment of the amendment by the sessions court, Thoothukudi, and should be attested by the Judicial Magistrate Court, Tiruchendur. This is expected to be done on Thursday and Anitha Radhakrishnan may be released on bail the same day.Anitha Radhakrishnan was arrested on charges of attempt to murder DMK’s Arumuganeri Town Secretary Suresh during the birthday celebrations of Madurai District DMK Secretary G Thalapathi (Crime number 67/11, attempt to murder). He allegedly ransacked the TASMAC outlet run by Suresh (Crime number 185/11, damaging public property) and hurled a bomb at the party office (Crime number 187/11 with sub-section 3 of the Arms Act). He has been lodged at the Tiruchy Central Prison.
