BERHAMPUT: Close on the heels of the arrest of Sudarsan Mandal, the police on Saturday night nabbed Pratap Chinara at Mandiapalli. Pratap was produced in Sorada court on Sunday and sent to Berhampur Circle Jail. According to police, Pratap was nabbed based on the information given by Sudarsan, an aide of Sabyasachi Panda. During the interrogation, Sudarsan reportedly told police that the cadres were displeased with the higher-ups and the ill-treatment of female cadres.Sudarsan was allegedly involved in many incidents of violence in Ganjam and Kandhamal, including the killing at Badagada.Pratap, a native of Gop in Puri district, was earlier kept at Chamakhandi police station for interrogation. He was allegedly involved in Maoist activities in Kandhamal and Ganjam districts including the loot incident at Asurabandh.
