Bangalore: Two days after the brutal attack on a woman inside an ATM booth in Bangalore, no arrests have yet been made in the case. But the Karnataka government has now asked all banks to provide round the clock security at ATMs.

At 7 am in the morning in the bustling Corporation area, a woman entered an ATM booth. Moments later, a man entered after her, pulled the shutter down and pulled out a machete. He repeatedly hacked her, leaving her bleeding on the floor. The woman, an employee of Corporation Bank, is now battling for her life in hospital.

The woman has been admitted to BGS hospital where doctors attending her say that CT scan shows a fractured skull. "She has got paralysis on the right side and also a brain injury. She is in the ICU," said the doctor.

The Bangalore police are still on the lookout for the man, the attacker who showed no signs of fear and did not cover his face.

At the ATM where the woman was brutally attacked, there was no security guard even after 24 hours. Bank officials said that responsibility of providing guards lies with higher management.

The brutal attack inside the Corporation Bank ATM booth was caught on camera. The attacker escaped after robbing the woman. Shockingly the incident took place just a stone's throw away from the Ulsoor Gate police station. The incident came to light after some school children passing by noticed blood stains outside the ATM and informed the police.
