Speaking to CNN-IBN on the heinous crime that took place during the school hours, the CM said, "The arrested will be booked under Goonda Act. If there are other accused, we will arrest them immediately."
He insisted that the school management would be responsible for all the incidents that take place in the institution's premises. "Schools are responsible(for safety). When children are there in the institution, management is responsible. We have already issued guidelines," he said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party and its student's wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is making sure that the state government gets no breathing space and have been organising massive protests against the incident. CM Siddaramaiah ridiculed the opposition accusing it of taking political advantage of the incident. "BJP wants to take political advantage," he told CNN-IBN.
