KOCHI: Excise Minister K Babu on Monday released the ‘Banking Literacy Handbook’, brought out to educate the public on banking services and transactions. The book, prepared by the Kerala unit of the All-India Bank Employees Association, contains information on loans, development and training available in banks on agriculture, industries, trade, self-employment, poverty eradication, rural development and educational sectors. The association said that five lakh copies of the book would be distributed free-ofcost in various panchayats. Association general secretary C H Venkadachalam received the first copy from the Minister. AKBEF president K Mallika, General Secretary C D Joson and campaign coordinator Mathew George were among those who spoke.
