Update: The official BBM Twitter ID tries to liven up Android users eagerly waiting for their app. "Hey, at least waiting at home is better than waiting in line. ;) #Android #BBM4ALL," @BBM tweeted.
New Delhi: BlackBerry has announced the availability of its much-awaited BBM for iPhone app for New Zealanders but the Android app which was scheduled to arrive earlier is nowhere to be seen.
"Good morning #NewZealand, welcome to @BBM on #iPhone. #BBM4ALL," tweeted the official @BBM Twitter ID but there has been no word from BlackBerry regarding the Android app.
The only acknowledgement on the part of BlackBerry regarding the delay is a tweet from the official BlackBerry Messenger account (@BBM) that says, "Love the enthusiasm. Still on the way - hold tight! #BBM4ALL"
BBM for Android was scheduled to arrive on the Google Play Store at 4:30 PM IST (7 AM EDT) today, to be followed by BBM for iPhones running iOS 6 and iOS 7 at 12:01 AM local time on September 22.
The BBM launch is one of the most eagerly awaited app launches ever.
