While the entire town is talking about filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar's secret call to Kareena Kapoor recently, the leading lady prefers to keep her lips tightly sealed. It took everyone by surprise today morning when newspaper headlines screamed aloud that instead of Ash, it will be Kareena Kapoor who will be stepping into the shoes of Madhur's Heroine.
It has been said that Heroine had been originally scripted keeping Kareena in mind. However, after the actress raised objection to certain intimate scenes in the movie, Madhur convinced Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play the lead. Of course, certain bold scenes were toned down and everybody seemed happy with the result.
However after Pa-in-law Big B broke the news of Ash's pregnancy on the Internet, it was rumoured that Madhur went into hiding, locking himself up in a room and refusing to meet anyone. Today's newspaper reports read out loud that the filmmaker had approached Bebo once again. However this time too, the actress has not committed anything.
It was the media's delight when at a press conference in the city today, Kareena made an appearance and decided to interact briefly. As expected, there was a volley of questions regarding her association with Madhur's Heroine. Kareena however shot back a rather stereotypical response: "No comment!" However, the actress neither accepted nor denied the news, but flashed a dazzling smile across the dias.
She was a bit more vocal when she was asked about the recent rumours that she and beau Saif Ali Khan were headed towards Splitsville. She denied the reports vehemently and pointed out, "There is nothing to clarify. If it was true, you'd have come to know. This will never happen and I don't have anything to clarify."
For three years in a row, Kareena has remained the brand ambassador for Sony Waio and attended a press conference today organised by the company. While she told the media that she would never endorse an alcohol or a cigarette brand, she admitted that she isn't a gadget freak either. "I just like to check my mail on the green-colour computer I own right now," concluded the actress.
