BJP senior leader and former Union minister Ch Vidyasagar Rao has demanded that the Raj Bhavan should make things clear on minister Dharmana Prasada Rao's resignation.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he took strong objection to chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's silence on Dharmana's resignation.
The BJP leader observed that several ministers, ever since they received notices from the Supreme Court in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's disproportionate assets case, have not been working due to the constant worry of getting arrested.
In this back drop, the governor should intervene and clarify the government's position, he said.
On the exodus of Assamese, Rao accused the Congress-led UPA government of deliberately created a crisis in the Eastern states.
"The UPA has failed in both preventing riots in Assam and instilling confidence among the Assamese across the country on their safety," he alleged.
