New Delhi: As we had previously reported, BlackBerry announced the launch of its 5-inch Z30 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 39,990, the smartphone runs BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2 and is a full-touch smartphone. It has the largest battery yet on a BlackBerry smartphone. The Z30 is also listed on e-commerce site Saholic.com.
The Blackberry Z30 has a 5-inch Super AMOLED (1280 x 720) display and a 1.7 GHz processor with quad-core graphics. It comes with stereo speakers. BlackBerry has incorporated a new technology - BlackBerry Natural Sound - which is a part of BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2. BlackBerry says, it lets you hear nuances and variations in tone.
The Z30 has an 8 megapixel HD auto-focus camera rear camera and a 2 megapixel fixed-focus HD front camera. The phone comes with 16GB memory on board, which is expandable up to 64GB. It includes 2GB of RAM.
The BB 10 OS version 10.2 offers a spate of improvements over 10.1. BlackBerry 10.2 is said to offer an improved version of BBM. If a BBM message arrives, you can instantly reply to the message without even leaving the app you are in.
In addition, if your phone is locked, you can tap the various icons on the Lock Screen to see an instant preview of your most recent messages and notifications.
The BlackBerry Z30 smartphone includes a 2880mAh battery and is claimed to last up to 25 hours.
