Boy abducted for Rs 3 crore ransom

VIJAYAWADA: A fifth class student and son of a financier was kidnapped in the Satyanarayanapuram police limits here around on Thursday, and the kidnappers are said to be demanding a ransom of Rs 3 crore for the boy's release.The boy's parents did not lodge a complaint with the police station but met police commissioner N Madhusudan Reddy and urged him to rescue their son from the kidnappers.Following the request, police have launched a manhunt for the kidnappers. Neither the police nor the parents have shared any more information with the press, apprehending trouble to the captive.
