BANGALORE: Colonel Aparjeet S Nakai of Army Service Corps Centre and College, Bangalore, is participating in the longest cycling tour in India, the BSA Tour of Nilgirls (TfN) which will be flagged off from the Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Grounds by Major General AK Pradhan, General Officer Commanding of Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area on December 16.Seventy cyclists will cover a distance of almost 900 kms on treacherous tracks towards Mysore, Hassan, Coorg and off to the Malabar coast before they turn towards the Nilgiris again and finish at Ooty. The only participant from the Army said, “Preparing for the TfN has been tough. I am sure I will learn a lot as there are seasoned cyclists in the group. It also gives me an opportunity to see the lovely landscapes of Karnataka, Kerala and the Nilgiris.”
