BANGALORE: A young singer, who wanted to participate in reality shows on national TV channels but upset over his parents’ advise to concentrate on studies, committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence at Sriram Nagar near Ittamadu in Katriguppe on Saturday.The deceased has been identified as Aditya Nadiga (21), a final year BBM student at APS College. He had participated in some reality shows on regional channels and had emerged as one of the finalists. He was the son of Ramaswamy, a retired Government official, and Gayatri.According to the police, he was selected to participate in a reality show on a national channel. He was very eager to take part in that and he had to go to Mumbai for that. But as he was in the final year of his course, his parents had advised him to complete studies before taking up singing as a career. They had discussed over the issue several times and Nadiga was upset over his parents’ decision. “Even on Friday night, they had discussed it. On Saturday morning, his parents found him hanging from the ceiling fan hook,” the police explained.
